Jennifer Castillo is a paralegal that joined Shenon Law in 2019. She has experience in California civil litigation, business, insurance, real estate, bankruptcy and immigration law. She currently assists the attorneys with case management, court filings, evidence and client maintenance. She is also part of the administrative team and enjoys bringing creative ideas to the table. Her calm, cool and collected demeanor is refreshing in this deadline-driven industry.
Ms. Castillo has worked as a paralegal since 2010, after earning her Paralegal Certificate at Charter College in Los Angeles. She interned at an immigration firm in Glendale, and if she wasn’t filling out USCIS forms or drafting letters, she was driving 60 miles to the Mira Loma Detention Center to interpret and take notes for the attorneys that didn’t speak Spanish. Ms. Castillo quickly learned that she was not afraid of hard work and courageously moved onto working for a well-known former city councilman at a real estate and bankruptcy law firm. It wasn’t long before she became supervisor of the pre-litigation department and was able to showcase her ability to handle stressful situations, stay organized and empathize with clients. She was even featured in the firm’s television commercials that aired on Univision and Telemundo. She then went on to work for a law firm that represented the largest auto insurance carrier in the country. She has handled 400 active cases in more than half of the Superior Courts in California, with additional experience supporting United States District Court cases.
